Bathurst Goff Vets comp results for Monday November 17
Hi everyone,
Once again, we had a very good field of 54 veteran golfers enjoying a game of Monday’s vets, golf at the Bathurst golf club. The weather was fine, but the strong cold wind made good scores hard to come by.
The best player on the field today was Glenn Campbell, a regular visitor to our vets’ games from the Lithgow Golf club, who took out first place with a very impressive 39 points. Glenn played solid golf throughout with scores of 19 points on the first nine holes and 20 points on the last nine.
I can only thank God for providing us with computers to workout golf countbacks when Michelle Kingham, Robert Jackson, Geoff Marshall, Arthur Clancy, Simon Dundon and Trevor Kingham all had scores of 36 points. When the dust settled the computer worked out that Michelle got second place, Robert got third, Geoff got fourth and Arthur got fifth place. Unfortunately for Simon and Trevor they had to settle for a ball on the ball sweep.
The ball sweep went down to 31 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were David Galvin on the 4th, David Titcume on the 8th, Glenn Campbell on the 13th, and Kevin Arrow on the16th
