Bathurst Golf Vets report for Monday January 22

Hi everyone,

Good news to start with, the missing nearest to the pin marker for the 8th has been found so we will be back to four next week, which brings me to remind the last group to please pick up the markers as you finish the hole and put them in the cards box when you get back to the club.

On to results,

An excellent score of 37 points allowed Bobby Lockhard to claimed first prize in today’s comp. Bobby had a slow start with only 17 points on the first nine but came home strongly with 20 points.

Paul Rosconi and Russell McCarthy shared 2nd and 3rd place when they both finished their rounds with 34 points.

A count back was required to decide 4th place with Neil Healy getting the better of Graham Lee by the nearest of margins.

The ball sweep went down to 31 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners minus the 8th were Bill Dickie on the 4th, newcomer to vets, Chris Hadson on the 13th and Jodie Parker on the 16th

Next round of Central West vets will be at Blayney on Monday, 5th of February.

See you at Bathurst for another round of vets’ golf next Monday
