Bathurst Golf vets report for Monday August 18
Hi everyone
I may sound like a broken record that keeps repeating itself but once again we had another great day of vets’ golf at Bathurst golf club. We had a field of 36 players, a great day weather wise of blue sky and not a breath of win and some very good scoring to go with it by most of the field. A score 34 points today got you a ball on the ball sweep if you had a good countback. Playing Vets’ golf is definitely a great way to use your time on Mondays
On to results
Best on the field today Peter Heffernan with an excellent score of 40 points. Peter played solid golf throughout with scores of 20 points on each nine.
Second was Doug Collins with a score of 39 points. Doug looked a winner after having 22 points on the first nine, but things didn’t go his way on the last nine and had to settle for second spot.
Third was the very consistent Martin Everett with 38 points and Leo Attard rounded off the prize winners taking out third with 37 points
The ball sweep went down to 34 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Manuel Pro on the 4th, Bill Dickie on the 8th, Jim Brilley on the 13th and Ted Dell on the 16th.
