Bathurst Golf vets getting ready to tee off on Monday morning
Bathurst Golf Vets report for game Monday, May 19
Hi everyone,
Autumn was good while it lasted but we all new that winter was just around the conner and so it was today with the temperature rarely getting above 13 degrees. However, 28 Bathurst vets still went out and played on our Monday’s vet golf comp. We are a hardy group. What else is there to do on Mondays?
On to results,
Best on the day was Ray McKinnon with a very good score of 35 points. Arthur Clancey has continued his good form to claim second place with 33 points. Peter Chaffey had to win a countback to claim third spot when he and Alex Smith both returned scores of 32 points. Alex settled for a ball on the ball sweep.
The ball sweep went down to 29 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Chris Hadson on the 4th, Paul Stirling on the 8th, Arthur Clancey on the 13th and “no one good enough” on the 16th.
Winners and Ball sweep
Please check the Ball sweep list from previous comps and collect the balls if your name is on the list.
Next game of Bathurst Golf vets will be on Monday, May 26
Next game of Central West vets will be at Molong on Monday May 26. Molong is a walk up start so get there between 8:00 and 9:00am to get a game. If you have never played on sand greens before, give it a go and enjoy the challenge.
Good golfing everyone
