Bill Lambert continuing in his winning ways with another big win today
Bathurst Golf vets report for game Monday September 15
Hi everyone,
The word must be out that playing vets golf at the Bathurst golf club on Mondays is a lot better than staying at home watching TV or doing housework. The Monday comps are getting bigger week by week and today was not exception. We had 49 players in the comp including several new Bathurst members to vets’ golf and visitors from the Lithgow golf club.
On to results
A three-way countback was required to decide today’s winner when Bill Lambert, Danny Gooley and Brett Corby all had scores of 39 points. When the countback was completed the very consistent Bill Lambert came out on top with the better back nine of 21 points to claim first place. Danny Gooley and Brett Corby had 20 points each on the back nine. It came down to the last six holes with Danny taking out second place and Brett having to settle for third place.
Fourth place went to David Warren from Lithgow with 38 points and Glenn Campbell also from Lithgow took out fifth place with 37 points.
The ball sweep went down to 31 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Neil Larcombe on the 4th, Gary Pomeroy on the 8th, Mick Selman on the 13th and David Titcume on the 16th.
Prizes and ball sweep
