Bathurst Golf vet’s report for game played Monday July 7

Hi everyone,

Good to see veteran Bathurst golf members supporting Monday’s vets golf with another good field of 30 players challenging the winter weather to play vet’s golf on Monday mornings. 

On to golf results

Graham Tyson was today’s big winner with an excellent score of 39 points. Graham played solid golf throughout with 18 points on the front nine and 21 points on the back nine. His round included 6 pars and only one double bogie. 

A countback was required to decide second place when Darrell Bourke and Andrew Stapleton both returned scores of 37 points. Andrew played very consistent golf through his round with scores of 18 and 19 points on the respective nines but unfortunately for him Darrell had the better back nine of 20 points to win the countback and claim second place.

The ball sweep went down to 30 points on a countback which unfortunately cut out Paul Rosconi, Brian Little and Martin Everett.

Nearest to the pin winners were George Smith on the 4th and 16th, Arthur Clancy on the 8th and No one on the 13th so another ball was added to the ball sweep.
