Bill Lambert today's big winner with 39 points
Bathurst Golf vets’ results for Monday November 10
Hi everyone
We had a good field of 30 Bathurst vets playing a round of Mondays vets’ golf. A good size field considering that a large contingent of Bathurst vets went to Wentworth Golf club to play a round of Central west vets’ golf.
The numbers may have been down, but you still needed to play well above your handicap to get on the podium when you play Monday vets golf.
Best of all today was Bill Lambert who took out first place with an excellent score of 39. Bill played solid golf throughout his game with 19 points on the first nine and 20 on the second nine.
A count back was required to decide second and third place when John Zugajev and Brian Mair both returned cards of 37 points. John was always going to be hard to beat for second place on a count back after scoring a massive 22 points on the back nine which was a big improvement on his first nine score. Brian was consistent throughout with nines of 19 and 18 points but had to settle for third place.
The ball sweep went down to 31 points on a count back and the nearest to the pin winners were Brian Heffernan on the 4th, Kevin Arrow on the 8th, John Zugajev on the 13th and Arthur Clancy on the 16th.
