Bathurst golf vets report for game played April 15

Hi everyone,

On a perfect autumn day for playing golf 36 Bathurst veteran golfers had their usual round of Monday’s vets’ golf at the club. The weather was good and so was the golf with half the field going home happy after having played close to their handicap.

Best of all today was Martin Everett who took out first place with an excellent 39 points. A countback was required to decide second place when Neville McMichael and Manuel Pro returned scores of 38 points. Neville’s 20 points on the back nine looked good to win the countback but he was relegated to third place by Manuel’s back nine of 22 points.

Another countback was required to decide fourth place when James Johnson and Hal Rikard-Bell returned scores of 37 points. James took out the voucher with a better back nine.

The ball sweep went down to 31 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Manuel Pro on the 4th, Darren Healy on the 8th and 16th and Alex Blackett on the 13th with an excellent shot of less than 30cm from the pin.
