Geoff Coleman enjoying a quite drink after his magnificent round of 44 points to win today's comp
Bathurst Golf Vets results for Monday August 4
Hi everyone,
A good field of 36 Bathurst vets enjoyed a game of golf on a Monday morning where it felt like Spring had arrived early. The weather was a very pleasant 17 degrees with a clear blue sky and not a breath of wind to talk about.
The weather was hot and so was the scoring with players having to play to their handicap or better to get a winning prize.
Best of all today was Geoff Coleman who took out first place with a magnificent 44 points. Geoff started strongly on the first nine with 21 points and kept his form on the back nine with 23 points. Geoff round included 9 pars, 6 bogies and 3 double bogies
Second was Graham Lee with 41 points. A score that generally would have won the comp but unfortunately not today. Third prize went to Darrell Bourke with a par round of 39 points and fourth money went to Glenn Hope with 36 points.
The ball sweep went to 30 points on a count back and the nearest to the pin winners were Paul Rosconi on the 4th, Jim Browning on the 8th, Graham Tyson on the 13th and Darrell Bourke on the 16th
