Bill Dickie with Doug and Paul celebrating Bill's big win

Bathurst Golf Vets report for game played Monday, January,29

Hi everyone,

A big welcome to all the new members who joined Bathurst golf vets today. We hope that you had a good day and that you continue to support Monday’s vets golf in the future.

Today’s results.

A very good field of 50 Bathurst vets enjoyed a very pleasant summer day that contributed to some very good golf.

Best of all today was Bill Dickie with 38 points. Bill played a solid front nine for 18 points and kept his form going with 20 points on the back nine.

Second was Don Hinks with 37 points. Don started like a house on fire on the front nine with 21 points but had to settle for second with 16 points on the back nine.

Peter Chaffey was third with 36 points on a count back from Colin Jamieson who had to settle for fourth. Peter had a steady front nine of 16 points, but he came home with a wet sail with 5 pars in  the last six holes for 20 points. Alex Smith and Danny Gooley filled in the minor places.

The ball sweep went down to 32 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Doug Collins on the 4th, visitor Michael Winkler on the 8th, George Schymko form Blayney on the 13th and David Bromfield on the 16th.

Next game of Bathurst vets golf will be next Monday February 5.

For the travellers, the next game of Central West vets will be at Blayney, also on February 5. I will pass on the booking details for Blayney as soon as they are available.

 Good golfing everyone
