Bathurst Golf vets’ results for Monday March 17
Hi everyone
Another very good field of 40 Bathurst veteran golfers enjoyed a round of vets’ golf under very pleasant weather conditions with blue skies and very little wind to talk about.
I would like to take the opportunity to welcome John Zugajev, a new member to the club and vets’ golf. We look forward to enjoying his company in Monday’s vets’ comps. I am sure he would not mind taking the time to teach us how to properly pronounce his surname.
Also, if you are a newcomer to vets’ golf give us your email address to receive the game reports or you can also see it the reports on our website www.bathurstgolfvets.com
On to Golf results
Donald Hinks was today’s competition winner with a very good score of 38 points. Don played consistent golf trough out his round with 18 points on the front nine and 20 on the back nine.
Second was Leo Attard with 36 points. Graham Lee also had 36 points but had to settled for third place on a countback.
We had a three-way countback to decide the last two voucher winners when new club member John Zugajev, Paul Rosconi and Paul Stirling all returned scores of 35 points. Unfortunately, Paul Stirling missed out on a voucher when the computer gave John fourth place and Paul Rosconi fifth.
The ball sweep went down to a very generous 31 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Graham Lee on the 4th, Chris Hadson on the 8th, Geof Marshall on the 13th and Kevin Hope on the 16th.
Results and ball sweep.
Next round of Bathurst vets golf will be a Central West Vets event on Monday March 24.
The cost for the game will be $30 which will include morning tea on arrival and a light lunch after the game.
It will be a big field so book your starting time early to play on your prefer time slot.
Good golfing everyone.
