Ed Marel enjoying him self after a great game to finish fourth in today's vets comp
Bathurst golf vets report for Monday October 20
Hi everyone
Another good field of 42 players enjoyed a round of Monday’s vets golf at Bathurst golf course today.
Best on the day was Michael Selman taking out first place with an excellent score of 41 points. Michael was very consistent throughout his game with 20 points on the first nine followed with 21 points on the second nine.
Second place went to Wally Hodder visiting from Wellington with 39 points. The question is. Why was he playing at Bathurst when the Central West vets were playing at Wellington in the “Ultimate Golf Challenge”?
There was a three-way countback to decide third place when John Wilcock, Ed Marel and Neil Adams retuned scores of 37 points. Unfortunately for Neil he was the one to miss out with the computer giving John third spot and Ed fourth spot
The ball sweep went down to 32 points on a countback with Paul Rosconi being the lucky winner of the last ball. Nearest to the pin winners were Stephen Ousby on the 4th, Peter Heffernan on the 8th, John Wilcock on the 13th and Jeff Dean on the 16th.
