Bathurst Golf vets’ results for game played Monday October 19.
Hi everyone.
Another good field of 45 Bathurst golf vets played a round of golf at the Bathurst Golf Club on Monday October 19
The winner of today’s comp was Graham Lee with an excellent score of 38 points. Graham had a very good front nine for 20 points and continued to play solid golf on the back nine for 18 points.
Second place went to Darrell Bourke on a countback from Arthur Clancy with both having scores of 36 points. Darrell had a solid start with 17 points on the front nine and came home strongly with 19 points on the back nine. Arthur had an excellent start with 22 points but faded on the back nine and had to settled for third place.
We had a four-way countback to decide fourth and fifth place when John Fagan, Ann Covington, David Galvin and John Wilcock all returned scores of 35 points. The countback went down to the last three holes with John Fagan scoring 7 points to Ann’s 6 points to take our fourth spot and Ann fifth spot. David and John Wilcock had to settle for a ball in the ball sweep.
The ball sweep went down to 32 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were David Gates on the 4th, Ben Bickmore-Hutt on the 8th, Glenn Hope on the 13th and Bill Lambert on the 16th.
