Bathurst golf vets game report for Monday July 6

Hi everyone,

This will be a short report as I am still aways catching up with family in Brisbane.

Best out of a very good field of 41 players was Rodney Graham taking out first place with an excellent score of 40 points. Rodney is riding a purple patch at present having had very prominent results in the Central West Vets championships and today was not exception scoring 21 points on the first nine holes followed by 19 points on the back nine.

A count back was required to determined second and third place when Justin Hadley and Peter Warren returning cards of 38 points. Justin got second with a better back nine of 18 points to Peter’s 16 points.

Another countback was also required to decide fourth and fifth place when Rose Edwards and Doug Collins scored 37 points. Rose had the better back nine to claim fourth spot with Doug settling for fifth.

The ball sweep went down to 32 points on a count back the nearest to the pin winners were Andrew Stapleton on the 4th, Peter Warren on the 8th, Russell McCarthy on the 13th and Darrell Bourke on the 16th.
