Bathurst Golf vets report for Monday May 11
Hi everyone,
A good field of 39 Bathurst veteran golfer returned to Monday’s vet’s golf.
The weather was fine and so were the scores with once again players needing to play well above their handicap to get a prize.
Golf report
A countback was required to find today’s winner when Peter Heffernan and visitor Steve Woodward returned cards of 40 points. Peter had a horror start in the first three holes but he soon made-up ground and came home with a wet sail to score 22 points in the back nine. Steve was solid throughout and scored 21 points on the back nine but had to settle for second place.
Another countback was also required to decide third and fourth place when Matt Lester and Grahm Lee returned scores of 37 points. Lester claimed third spot with 19 points on the back nine. Graham settled for fourth place with 17 points on the back nine
The ball sweep went down to 32 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Kae Anderson on the 4th, Chris Hadson on the 8th, Matt Lester on the 13th and Murray Jewkes on the 16th.
