Bathurst golf vets enjoying a quite drink after the game
Bathurst Vets results for game played Monday April 13
Hi everyone,
Another good field of 39 Bathurst vets played a round of vets’ golf on Monday. The size of the field was exceptional considering that some of the regular players would have stayed home to watch the final round of the Masters and a large group went to Wentworth golf club to play a round of Central West vets.
On to results.
Today’s winner was Don Hinks with the score of 37 points. Don had a slow start to his round with a 7 and a pick-up on the first two holes but he soon made-up ground with pars on the 3rd and 4th hole to complete the first nine holes with 18 points. He continue to play solid golf with 19 points on the back nine.
Second was Tim Johnston with 36 points. Tim started slowly with 16 points on the front nine but came home with a wet sail with 20 points on the back nine.
A countback was required to decide 3rd and 4th spot when Kevin Callaughan and Neil Larcomobe returned score 35 points. Kevin got 3rd spot with 16 points on the last six holes to Neil’s 13 points.
The ball sweep went down to 31 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Rodney Haines on the 4th, Paul Rosconi on the 8th, David Galvin on the 13th and newcomer to vets’ golf David Sams on the 16th.
