Bathurst golf Vets results for game played Monday June 1

Hi everyone,

The first day of winter was welcome on the golf course by 39 very keep Bathurst vets’ golfers that included 4 ladies. It might heave been only four of them, but they certainly packed a punch showing the men how to play the course today by taking out 1st and 2nd place in comp. Welcome to Monday’s vets golf ladies, we hope to see more often.

On to results

As mentioned above, today’s winner was Rose Edwards with a score of 37 points. Rose had an excellent first nine holes of 20 point and fallowed it up wit a solid back nine of 17 points.

Second was Melissa Miles with 34 points. Melissa started off slowly on the front nine with 13 points but she soon made-up ground with an excellent back nine of 21 points.

Third place went Dick O’Donnell with 33 points, and fourth place went to Russell McCarthy with 32 points.

The ball sweep went down to 29 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Arthur Clancy on the 4th, Bob Lockhart on the 8th, Colin Jamieson on the 13th and Paul Roscony on the 16th.

Golf results

There will be no vets’ comp next Monday June 8 due to the public holiday; however, I have mentioned to the proshop that they should consider putting a Vets comp between 8:00 and 9:00am off the 10th tee. I will let you know if anything eventuates.
