Bathurst Golf vets getting ready to tee off in Monday's vets competition

Bathurst Golf Vets Report for game played Monday October 26.

Hi everyone,

A good field of 35 Bathurst golfing vets enjoyed a beautiful spring day at the Bathurst golf Club.

The best player on the field today was Michael Selman with a score of 39 points which was good enough to take out first place in the comp. Michael started strongly with 21 points on the front nine holes and consolidated his round with a solid 18 points on the back nine.

Not far behind Michael was Bob Lockhart who took out second place with 38 points. Bob had an excellent start to his round with 22 on the front nine but a couple of misdemeanours on the back nine might have cost him the comp win.

Garry Pomeroy took out third place with another very good score of 37 points. After a slow start of 17 points Garry came home strongly with 20 points on the back nine.

A countback was required to decide the fourth spot when Rose Edwards and Doug Collins both returned scores of 36 points. Rose won the countback with 20 points on the back nine to Doug’s 18.

The Ball sweep went down to 32 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Graham Tyson on the 4th, Paull Stirling on the 8th and Chris Hadson cleaned up the 13th and the 16th.
