Bathurst Vets golf report for game played Monday June 15

Hi everyone

A good field of 35 Bathurst golf vets played a round of Monday vets golf at Bathurst golf club. The weather was a very pleasant winter’s day enjoyed by all players.

The one golfer who enjoyed the day more than most was today’s comp winner Gary Miles with a very impressive score of 36 points. Gary started strongly with 20 points on the front nine and followed up with 16 points on the back nine.

Second on the day was a newcomer to vets’ golf Cathy Waddell with a very solid 35 points. Cathy played steady golf on the front nine for 17 points and kept her form going with 18 points on the back nine.

Third place went to Danny Gooley on a countback from Michael Selman with both having scores of 34 points

The ball sweep went down to 30 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Don Hinks on the 4th, Bill Lambert on the 8th, Graham Lee on the 13th, and Eric Denholm on the 16th.

Next round of Bathurst vets golf will be on Monday June 22.

Next round of Central West vets will be at Bathurst on June 29. It will be the final round of the championships. It will be a big field so get your name down early if you have a preferred time slot.
