Bathurst Golf vets’ results for comp played Monday July 20

Hi everyone,

We had very good field of 36 golfing vets playing, considering that a large group of Bathurst vets travelled to Oberon to play in a round of Central West vets. I must take this opportunity to welcome the large number of ladies who are now playing Monday vets golf on a regular basis. There is nothing better than playing a round of vets’ golf at Bathurst Golf Club on Mondays.

On to results

Best on the course today was Doug Collins with 40 points. However, to get first place he had to survive a very strong challenge from Ann Covington who also scored 40 points. Doug’s 19 points on the back nine to Ann’s 18 points got him over the line on a countback.

Third spot was taken out by Diedre MaCarthy with a very impressive score of 39 points, and fourth place went to Bill Lambert with 38 points.

The ball sweep went down to 32 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Arthur Clancy on the 4th and 8th, Cathy Waddell on the 13th and Paul Rosconi on the 16th.
