Bruce Walker looking very relaxed after his big win in B grade

Bathurst Local Vets golf report for April 24

Hi Everyone,

Some important housekeeping to start with.

It has come to may attention that some of you are receiving emails under my name which are suspicious scams. Don’t open them delete them immediately. I don’t send personal emails to anyone. I only send out the golf reports for Bathurst and Central West vets’ games.

More housekeeping. There will be no local vets next Monday as the ladies are having their golf tournament.

However, the Central West vets have a game at Blayney, and you are all welcome to play in it. To get a start time send a text message with your name and golflink number to Mick Miskell on 0418 401 814 and he will get back to you with a time.

On to golf results.

A good field of 36 local vets which included two visitors from the Howlong golf club enjoyed another very pleasant Autunm day which was reflected on some very good scores, needing 33 points to get a ball on the ball sweep.

Best of all was Bruce Walker who had an excellent 39 points to win B grade two ahead of Graham Lee who needed to win a countback from Ed Marel when they both returned cards of 37 points.

In A grade a four-way countback was required to determine the voucher winners when Bill Lambert, Manuel Pro, Darrell Bourke, and Ash Lamb all returned scores of 35 points. When the computer finished doing the calculations Bill came out the winner from Manuel, Darrell and Ash.

The nearest to the pin winners were David Travis on the 4th, Ed Marel on the 8th, Paul Rosconi and the 13th and Graham Lee on the 16th.

Full golf results.

As mentioned earlier no local vets next week but Blayney is available for a game with the Central West Vets.

In the meantime, may the Gods of golf be kind to you.

Manuel Pro.
