Bill Lambert celebrating his A grade win

Bathurst vets’ golf results for February 6

Hi everyone,

Some house keeping issues before we get on with the results.

1.   We have an honour system for collecting the balls won on the ball sweep so be honourable and cross out your name out after collecting.

2.   Five dollars of your game fee goes towards prizes and as such the number of grades, vouchers and balls is  determined by the number of players in the field.

3.   The cost of golf balls has gone up so we are reducing the number of balls for NTPs but keeping the ball sweep at about 40% of the field.

A good field of 32 players so prizes were allocated for 1st and 2nd in two grades.

First in A grade was Bill Lambert with a score of 35 points. Second was Danny Gooley with 34 points.

In B grade, a newcomer to local vets, Peter Plunkett took out first place with the best score on the day of any grade with 39 points. Alex Blackett was second with 37 points on a countback from Bob Lockhart and Stephen Thompson.

NTPs went to Danny Gooley on the 4th, Jerry Baker on the 8th, Russell Jeffery on the 13th and Darren Healy on the 16th.

The ball sweep went down to 30 points.

Next game of Central West vets will be at Oberon on Monday February 13.

It is a walk up start so get there between 8:00 to 9:00 to get a game.

Good golfing everyone

Manuel
